Adding an IRA account at tastyfx allows you to trade forex using IRA funds in both Traditional and Roth IRA accounts at Equity Trust.
Who is Equity Trust?
Equity Trust is an industry-leading custodian of self-directed IRAs with 50 years of experience in the financial services industry. Equity Trust is our custodian provider, and all IRA funds used for trading forex at tastyfx must be deposited and withdrawn through an Equity Trust account.
Opening an IRA with tastyfx
To open an IRA account with tastyfx, you must have an existing retail forex trading account.
- Open a tastyfx account
- Once your retail account is activated, add an IRA account from your Accounts Dashboard by clicking on the "Add an IRA account" tile.
- If you do not have an Equity Trust account, you will be prompted to create one. Complete the application and fund your Equity Trust account.
- Your tastyfx IRA account will be activated once we receive confirmation from Equity Trust.
- Request the funds to be transferred from your Equity Trust account to your tastyfx IRA account.

What if I already have an Equity Trust IRA account?
If you already have an active IRA account at Equity Trust:
- Add a tastyfx IRA account as outlined above.
- Select "I already have an Equity Trust IRA."
- Contact Equity Trust to inform them which account you would like to link to tastyfx.
How do I fund my tastyfx IRA account?
All deposits and withdrawals must be conducted through your Equity Trust account. You will not be able to deposit or withdraw IRA funds from your tastyfx dashboard.
Trading with your IRA account
Forex trading with an IRA account is identical to trading in a retail account, with the caveat that funding must be done through Equity Trust. You can place trades and manage your positions on our web platform or mobile apps. MT4 is not available for IRA trading.
Am I eligible for tastyfx promotions?
tastyfx IRA accounts are eligible to receive monthly rebates on the spread paid if specified trading conditions are met. However, IRA accounts are currently not eligible for the new account funding bonus.

Disclaimers
The yearly maximum after tax cash contribution in 2024 is $7,000 or $8,000 for people 50 or older.
Should you wish to request or withdraw funds from your account, you must make request directly to the trust company and the disbursements will be payable directly to the Trust Company FBO Client Name/Account Number.

IRA transfers to the trust company typically take 10-15 business days from the day the transfer is initiated. Once the funds have settled at the trust company, an additional 1-3 days are needed after you have requested the trust company to transfer the funds to tastyfx.
